Leonardia, Treñas agree to resume Iloilo, Bacolod sea travel
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas have made an inter-city arrangement for unhampered travel between the two cities in Western Visayas.
Leonardia said that both cities have the same direction, which is to activate the whole area by being self-reliant.
The agreement is to allow sea travel from Bacolod to Iloilo and vice versa. (https://bit.ly/3d92VzV)
They agreed to draft a joint declaration to define the parameters of the arrangement, the Bacolod mayor said.
He added that those who will travel between the two cities will not need a travel pass anymore.
In a Facebook post, Treñas said that locally stranded individuals from Manila or other places returning to Bacolod through Iloilo City are not covered by this agreement.
