Leonardia implements curfew as Covid cases surge
In a bid to curb the surge of Covid-19 cases, Bacolod City has imposed curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Executive Order No. (EO) 31 issued by Mayor Evelio Leonardia also bans public consumption of liquor.
Exempted from the curfew are workers on night shift, media practitioners, public emergencies, and those requiring medical assistance on board public utility or private vehicles. (https://bit.ly/2RzSv7M)
The sale of liquor is only from 12 noon to 6 p.m. but drinking in public places, as previously allowed between 6 to 9 p.m., is suspended, the EO stated.
Leonardia said people under 18 years old, senior citizens, persons with co-morbidities, and pregnant women should remain at home unless they need to work or buy essential goods.
The directive also instructed all government and private offices to implement a skeletal workforce system and alternative work arrangements to reduce the number of employees working onsite.
