Leo Rey Yanson returns at the helm of Yanson bus business

Leo Rey Yanson, Olivia V. Yanson, and Ginnette Yanson-Dumancas now fully control the Bacolod City-based Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC), the largest transport fleet in the country.

The group set sights on navigating the bus business amid the challenges of the pandemic after Leo Rey was re-elected chairman and president of YGBC’s key subsidiaries in a series of stockholders’ meetings from December 5, 2020 to January 18, 2021.

The board of the company for year 2021 to 2022 who were elected were Yanson-Dumancas, Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo, Arvin John Villaruel, Anita Chua, Daniel Nicolas Golez, Hernan Omecillo, Danny Lorenton, and Alfredo Ligo Jr.

“Despite the challenges faced in 2020, the business remains strong and resilient. It continues to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino people,” said Leo Rey.

In a statement, the group said they remain committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation for all.

The newly-elected board of directors is also excited to provide quality transportation to every Filipino despite the challenges of the pandemic.

The annual meetings were organized for YGBC’s subsidiaries including Vallacar Transit Inc., Ceres Liner Travel and Tours, Mindanao Star Bus Transport Inc., Bachelor Express Inc. and Southern Star Bus Transport.
