Lacson to Negrenses: Use common sense vs COVID
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson expressed optimism that Negros Occidental, which is under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), would be downgraded to the “new normal” starting June 16.
However, Lacson said it would still depend on the final declaration of the lnter-Agency Task Force against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
“Whatever mode of quarantine it will be, we will just wait. Wearing of the face mask is the ‘new normal’,” the governor said. (https://bit.ly/2UDsH9f)
According to him, everyone will have to use common sense in following health protocols to prevent the virus from spreading.
Under the “new normal,” almost all of the restrictions are expected to be lifted, although minimum health protocols such as wearing of face masks when outdoors and maintaining social distancing will still be enforced.
Even if the quarantine is lifted, Lacson advised the public to avoid crowded areas, limit travel to essentials, and remain vigilant against Covid-19.
The MGCQ will expire 11:59 p.m. on June 15.
