Lacson signs ‘Buy Local, Go Lokal’ order
Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson recently signed an executive order (EO), adopting the “Buy Local, Go Lokal” campaign.
Lacson is now in Makati City leading the Negros Trade Fair at the Glorietta II.
The Department of Trade and Industry has started a nationwide campaign called “Buy Local, Go Lokal” with the goal of helping MSMEs that have been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic weather the storm and creating opportunities for their recovery and growth. The governor cited this in his EO. (https://bit.ly/3UxdzY4)
The “Buy Local, Go Lokal” campaign also aims to encourage Filipinos to shift their purchasing habits toward locally produced goods.
Lacson emphasized that the campaign will also boost domestic travel by encouraging Filipinos to use Philippine-owned and operated facilities and services.
