Labella eyes switching back to GCQ
Mayor Edgardo Labella said he may recommend general community quarantine (GCQ) for Cebu City by February.
Labella issued the remark following the continued rise in new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the city.

But, the mayor said that he would seek the opinion of medical experts before making the move.
“I would not just do it unilaterally without seeking the advice of the medical experts, the City Health Department, the Department of Health, certainly,” according to him.
“It would really depend on the circumstances. There is no problem with me (reverting to stricter status) because we really have to observe strict compliance of our quarantine,” he added.
Cebu City has been under modified general community quarantine since September.
