Labella allowed to work from home: DILG
Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella can work from home to be safe from coronavirus disease (Cpvod-19), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) said.
In a virtual presser, Interior Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III said Labella, considering his age, is allowed to do that if only to be safe from the viral illness.
“What is important is that he is giving directives from home, that he is not hiding and is not merely sleeping at home,” Densing said in the vernacular. (https://bit.ly/3pU9kFB)
From what he learned, the DILG official said that Labella issues pronouncements and directives every day.
“I think every day naman meron siyang mga pronouncements, directives, although (they’re) coming from his house where he is residing. That’s fine, as long as he is still working,” he added.
Labella has been working from home since his medical leave for an ear infection.
