Killing of drug-linked police colonel ‘highly questionable’, says wife
The wife of Police Superintendent Santiago Rapiz who was killed recently in a buy-bust operation in Dipolog City denied the allegations of her husband’s involvement in the drugs trade.
The operation conducted against her husband was “highly questionable,” said Michelle Rapiz in a Watchmen Daily Journal article.
Mrs. Rapiz noted that the lights at the basketball court where the policeman was playing were turned off.
She also insisted that the 25 grams of shabu seized from the Negrense cop was merely planted.
Her husband’s mobile phone and other items, according to her, have not been returned by police.
Rapiz’s wife sought a congressional probe into the incident.
The police officer was laid to rest on Sunday at the Acropolis Cemetery in Bacolod City.
