Kalibo airport imposes entry curbs
Travelers need to show proof of being vaccinated against Covid-19 before they board flights at Kalibo International Airport.
The ‘no vaccination, no entry’ policy, as ordered by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines through Department Order-2022-00, aims to restrict the movements of unvaccinated individuals on the premises of Kalibo airport.
This will remain in effect while Aklan province is under Alert Level 3. (https://bit.ly/3nOGcS7)
Kalibo airport manager Engr. Eusebio Monserate, Jr. said the new rule covers passengers, employees, and guests entering the airport premises unless the individual is exempted from getting Covid-19 vaccines.
Unvaccinated individuals with underlying conditions and those traveling to procure essential supplies and for medical reasons are exempted.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, unvaccinated people are more likely to contract and transmit the virus that causes the Covid-19.
