Jerry Treñas relieved as old graft case gets junked
It’s been years, but vindication only came to Jerry Treñas recently.
The Iloilo City mayor was grateful to hear that he has been acquitted from a graft case dating back to 2003, which accuses him of misusing funds for the Iloilo Press Club (IPC) during his earlier stint at the city hall worth P500,000.
“I thank the Almighty for my acquittal in the Iloilo Press Club case in the Sandiganbayan. It has been a grueling process I have gotten into, the first ever Sandigan case in my long time in public service since 1986. I have always believed that in the end the truth will set us free. God is good!,” the politiko said.
