Jerry Treñas reminded fellow Filipinos of the country’s dark days during the Martial Law period, with a call not to allow a repeat of such abuses.

“After half a century, we remember the strong voices of the people who want progressive change,” the Iloilo City mayor said, with a call to never forget the atrocities and abuses under late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.

“May those moments remind us to properly use our voice to fight for what we deserve and the future we want,” he added.
