Janette Garin’s daughter was supposed to graduate in Boston this May

It would have been a grand celebration but COVID-19 turned out to be a huge spoiler.

Iloilo Rep. Janette Garin’s daughter Rica is off to make her own legacy and carry out the family’s greatness. The next-generation Garin was supposed to graduate from Boston College this May, but the coronavirus forced the school to cancel the commencement exercises in the United States.

Her aunt Vice Governor Christine Garin opted for a Facebook greeting to congratulate her niece, who is well on her way following the footsteps of her mom, a former Health secretary.

“Today would have been the day the world witnesses your graduation in Boston College, so proud of you!,” Tingting said. Will she venture into politics down the road as well?
