Jam-jam Baronda opposes gender segregation proposal
Iloilo City Rep. Julienne “Jam-jam” Baronda is against the proposal requiring separate classrooms for boys and girls.
One’s gender cannot dictate the potential of an individual, said Baronda.
The National Youth Commission chairman Ryan Enriquez earlier proposed the separation of class sections for female and male students in Grades 7 to 12 to prevent teen pregnancy and HIV cases.
