It’s Halloween time or bust at Iloilo – Mayor Mabilog


Expect to see scary creatures, super heroes and supernatural locations when visiting Iloilo City Hall this October 24 to 28.

This was after Iloilo Mayor Jed Mabilog, in a statement Saturday, October 22, announced that the city will be celebrating the Halloween with its annual “Shock, Rattle, and Roll” event.

The politiko said the yearly event aims to promotes unity and cooperation among employees, families, loved ones and the public in support of the city’s programs.

Mabilog also wants the yearly undertaking to become a tourism attraction showcasing Ilonggos’ skills and talents in creativity and craftsmanship in decorating arts.

City hall employees are urged to participate in various contests for Offices Teamwork Decoration, Frontliners’ Costume; and Parent-Child Costume on October 28 at 8:30 a.m. and “Trick or Treat” activity at 10:30 a.m. up to 12 noon , which is open to the public, expected to attract almost a thousand children.

Offices have started decorating their respective areas along hallways of various concepts while front desk personnel will be encouraged to wear masks in character or donned costume during the judging.

Ground floor will welcome doors to mythological magnificence and wonders with Maria Makiling, second floor with Super Inday and the Golden Bibe, third floor with Dyesebel, fourth floor with Amaya, fifth floor with Encantadia, sixth floor with Mulawin and seventh floor with Enteng Kabisote.
