Isko Moreno backs Panay-Guimaras-Negros bridge
Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno vowed to push for the construction of the Iloilo-Guimaras Bridge when elected to the presidency.
Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer Moreno made the promise to Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas during the former’s visit at the City Hall recently.
“Yung Iloilo-Guimaras bridge mas malapit ‘yun. They could have started that sooner. Pero walang galaw. Kung sakaling manalo ka, ituloy mo yon ha? Kukulitin kita,” Treñas told presidential bet. (https://bit.ly/3GPhOGR)
In return, Moreno said: “May awa ang Diyos.”
The proposed bridge project, which spans 32 kilometers, will connect the three islands of Panay (Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo), Guimaras, and Negros (Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental).
