Iloilo requires negative swab test result from returning residents
Travelers cannot enter Iloilo and other areas in Western Visayas without a negative Covid-19 test result within 72 hours of arrival.
Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. issued Executive Order No. 183-M, series of 2021 requiring such in response to surging cases of Covid-19 in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
“We (Region 6 leaders) all agreed to require inbound travelers to show recent Covid test results to enter the region,” said Defensor. (https://bit.ly/3twbrBQ)
Returning residents shall only be allowed entry if they are asymptomatic. They shall be examined upon arrival and those with Covid-19 symptoms shall be admitted in an appropriate facility for quarantine and treatment. Those without symptoms shall be free to proceed to their destinations.
Returning residents shall be required to have a valid government identification card showing proof of residence. Notice of coordination with the city/municipality of destination shall be required, too.
Returning residents shall be required negative RT-PCR test results for entry to the province; provided that:
* They shall be subject to health monitoring by their respective city/municipal health officers 10 days from arrival
* Those who develop symptoms within the 10-day period, shall be admitted in the appropriate facility for quarantine and treatment until recovery.
* City/municipal mayors may administer adjusted health protocols and quarantine measures, in the interest of public safety and disease control and prevention.
The order would take effect on March 20.
