Iloilo prepping for possible Covid-19 surge in June
Citing the rising Covid-19 cases abroad, Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor said the provincial government is already preparing for a possible increase in infections by June.
“In our experience these past two years, what is happening in other parts of the world will be here in two months or even less,” said Defensor.
The governor also pointed out that flu season typically starts in June. (https://bit.ly/3E7IceY)
“The question is whether it’s an ordinary flu or strain of Covid-19,” said Defensor.
He urged government-run district hospitals to start preparing now for a possible Covid-19 surge.
He likewise stressed the importance of reverse isolation at home to protect the elderly and persons with comorbidities.
