Iloilo prepositions water tankers vs severe water shortage
The Iloilo City government is readying tankers to deliver water to barangays that will be affected by the long dry spell, which may be worsened by the El Nino phenomenon.
Mayor Jose Espinosa said they are now prepositioning 39 water tanks that will deliver water to the affected barangays.

For now, he said they are planning on the manner of distribution and the mechanics of the source of the water.
The mayor said he has alerted City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management head Donna Magno to monitor predictions of national bureaus and agencies.
On the other hand, he appealed to the public to conserve water and be alert against possible fires.
