Iloilo City undergoes assets inventory
With barely a month to go before it formally welcomes its new leaders, the Iloilo City government has started an inventory of properties, equipment and vehicles.
City General Services Office (GSO) head Joren Sartorio said they will submit a report to Mayor-elect Jerry Treñas once he assumes office on June 30.
Sartorio said the inventory report will help Treñas plan out how he can maximize the properties (https://thedailyguardian.net/local-news/inventory-of-city-hall-assets-begins/).
So far, Sartorio said their partial inventory showed there are around 15 vehicles procured by the city government in 2018. He said they will complete the inventory this week.
He added the inventory is in line with the executive order issued by outgoing mayor Jose Espinosa III last March 13, for a transition team.
The transition team will include all department heads of the city hall, Atty. Ferdinand Panes of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Ramon Cua Locsin, president of the Iloilo Federation of Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Panay.
The team will inventory identified properties of the local government unit (LGU) and gather, secure, and preserve all official documents and or record of the LGU.
It will also turn over accountabilities and ensure the accomplishment and timely submission of Elective Local Official Personnel Data Sheet by the incoming officials.
