Iloilo City mulls new police stations

The City Government of Iloilo is eyeing four more police stations in the metropolis.

Mayor Jerry Treñas said he plans to put up new police stations in the districts of Jaro, Molo, and Lapuz.

He wants 10 additional police stations in the metro to be established before the end of his term, according to him. (https://bit.ly/2urNAu9)

At the moment, the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) oversees six police stations each located in the districts of Iloilo City in City Proper, Jaro, La Paz, Mandurriao, Jaro, and Arevalo.

The ICPO recently welcomed its new director Police Colonel Eric Dampal, who succeeded Police Colonel Martin Defensor Jr.

Defensor was promoted as PRO 6 Chief of the Regional Directorial Staff.
