Iloilo City makes partial payment for AstraZeneca vaccines
The city government of Iloilo has paid 20 percent of its vaccine allocations for the purchase of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines.
On Wednesday, Mayor Jerry Treñas said the initial down payment has been credited to the company’s account.
“The 20 percent down payment for 600,000 doses of AstraZeneca has been confirmed to have been credited to the account of the company. This confirms the order of Iloilo City for 300,000 persons,” the local chief executive announced. (https://bit.ly/3uxGhLE)
Last January, the city government signed a multilateral agreement with the national government and the pharmaceutical company for Iloilo City’s advance purchase of AstraZeneca AZD 1222 vaccines.
The city government initially allotted P200 million for the purchase of Covid-19 vaccines.
