Iloilo City LGU honors outstanding employees; binigyan din ng pera
The Iloilo City government honored 36 of its outstanding employees during the regular flag-raising ceremony at City Hall last Sept. 24.
During the awarding ceremony led by Mayor Jose Espinosa III, the 36 employees received cash incentives, medals, and certificates.

Meanwhile, two employees received Service Awards for their services rendered in the city government.
They included Dr. Tomas Forteza Jr, who has been city veterinarian for 23 years; and Cynthia Trespeses, assistant city accountant for 18 years.
At the ceremony, Iloilo City Anti-Smoking Task Force Director Iñigo Garingalao received a special citation because of his achievement during the 2018 Honor Awards Program of the Civil Service Commission.
Garingalao was among 13 public officials feted by the Civil Service Commission of the Philippines (CSC)-6 for their contribution in public service last Sept. 6.
He was recognized as “Dangal ng Bayan” Regional Winner and National Semi-Finalist of the 2018 Honor Awards Program of the CSC for his anti-smoking efforts.
