Hold career fair, Cebu City Council to CSC
The Cebu City Council requested the Civil Service Commission (CSC) regional office to hold a local online job fair for government agencies in the city in consonance with the 2021 Government Online Career Fair (GOCF).
The move will give more opportunity to those who want to pursue a career in government service.
Councilor Raul Alcoseba sponsored a resolution on the matter which was approved by the council. (https://bit.ly/2XaCkke)
“This representation believes that government offices, agencies, and departments should continue to open and post job vacancies and provide more time to job seekers to prepare and apply to job vacancies in government service in order to reduce the unemployment rate and help our economy, particularly in Cebu City,” said Alcoseba.
Last month, the CSC and JobStreet Philippines invited job seekers to the 2021 GOCF and encouraged them to apply to job vacancies posted on the CSC website or directly at https://onlinejobfair.jobstreet.com.ph.
The 2021 GOCF aimed to market highly qualified civil service eligibles to government agencies, and to recruit and place talented graduates and jobseekers in the government service.
It also allowed government agencies to advertise and facilitate filling up of urgent and/or critical or hard-to-fill positions and to promote access to employment opportunities in government service where jobseekers may access online.
