Gyms, fitness centers now allowed to open in Boracay: gov
Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores has allowed the operation of fitness studios, gyms, and swimming pools up to 50 percent capacity in the province.
Aklan is currently under general community quarantine (GCQ) until October 31.
In an advisory, Miraflores said outdoor dining will be allowed to operate at 100 percent capacity while indoor dining is still limited to 50 percent capacity. (https://bit.ly/3vwXKop)
Meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions and social events in eligible venue establishments, on one hand, will be limited to 30 percent capacity.
“With the decreasing trend of positive cases in the province of Aklan and to perk the economy, certain business establishments will now be allowed to operate while others may increase their seating capacity,” the governor said.
The latest resolution issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has allowed tourists of all ages from areas under GCQ, modified GCQ, and Alert Level 3 to visit Boracay Island subject to the compliance with protocols.
