Gwen Garcia visits sitio to fulfill road rehabilitation promise
Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia returned to Barangay Caurasan in Carmen town on Sunday to fulfill a promise she made to a 13-year-old boy.
Last year, Vicente “Titing” Mulato asked Garcia to fix the narrow and unpaved road in Sitio Taguini so he can go to school with less difficulty.
“Gamay nalang Ting, hapit na gyud matuman imo pangandoy (Your wish will be granted soon),” the governor told the boy as she inspected the already widened road in the area. (https://bit.ly/36Y00e7)
Garcia said she will have the road concreted for Titing and the school children in the area to have easy access.
School children in Barangay Caurasan and its neighboring barangays walk for two hours and brave muddy tire paths on rainy days to get to Caurasan National High School in Sitio Siotes.
Titing said he is grateful that Garcia visited their place on the eve of her birthday to fulfill a promise.
