Guimaras reopens to Western Visayas locals
The Province of Guimaras has lifted the restriction on the entry of people from other parts of Region 6.
Western Visayans may now freely enter Guimaras for essential and non-essential purposes such as visiting tourist destinations, according to Vice Governor Edward John Gando.
Gando, however, said that visitors should not have signs and symptoms of coronavirus disease (Covid-19), not a probable or suspect case, and not a close contact of a confirmed case. (https://bit.ly/3fon1c4)
Visitors must also fill out health declaration cards for future contact tracing if necessary.
Prior to the lifting of the entry restriction, only those working in the island province, those delivering basic services and emergency cases are allowed into Guimaras.
People from other regions who want to enter the province for non-essential purposes are required a negative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test result, the governor said.
