Guimaras mayor locks down church after priest contracts Covid-19
Jordan Mayor Ruben Corpuz has ordered St. John the Baptist Parish Church in Barangay Poblacion to be closed to the public after its 64-year-old parish priest tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
In Executive Order No. 58 issued Tuesday, Corpuz said the lockdown aimed to control the spread of Covid-19.
He did not set any date for the lifting of lockdown. (https://bit.ly/2IP1cqr)
The priest tested positive for the illness on November 16. He was a close contact of an earlier confirmed Covid-19 case.
As of November 17, Jordan had 14 confirmed positive cases.
