Gov Lacson urges cops to step up efforts vs bizemen killers

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson asked the authorities to resolve the killing of Bacolod businessman Roberto “Kaishek” Tan and others before him.

The law enforcers have to step up their efforts, said Lacson, adding that it cannot continue like this where victims become just another statistic. (

“We have witnessed extrajudicial killings before and up to now we have not determined who the people responsible for these killings are,” he added.

Lacson also stressed that peace and order is important for businesses to thrive.

Tan, brother of former councilor Ricardo “Cano” Tan, was gunned down by two suspects while driving his car along CL Montelibano Avenue in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod.
