Gov keeps Negros Occidental under MGCQ

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson extended the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) status of the province until March 31.

The province’s MGCQ protocols would remain in effect, according to him.

Lacson said health protocols and travel regulations for arriving Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APORs) and non-APORs shall also remain “in full force and effect.” (

Meanwhile, the governor reminded Negrenses and establishment owners to follow health safety protocols such as wearing of face masks and face shields, washing of hands and social distancing.

“Anyone who violates these protocols will face appropriate administrative and/or criminal charges,” he said.
