Gov Cadiao: DOT eyeing Antique as cruise ship destination
Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao said the Department of Tourism (DOT) is eyeing the province as a cruise ship destination.
The Antique politiko said a DOT assessment team will check if the province’s preparedness for cruise ship tourism.
“The DOT team will assess the Lipata Port in Culasi if cruise ships could dock there,” Cadiao said.
“The DOT team together with the provincial tourism office will also come up with a plan on what these tourists could do for the 12 hours visit in Antique,” she added.
Cadiao also said the DOT wants Antique to be an alternate tourism destination to Boracay.
