Free Japanese class in Cebu City
A total of 50 students will avail of free Japanese class at the Cebu City Public Library on February 22.
The introductory class will be held at the second floor of the city library.
Head Librarian Rosario Chua said more than 500 people have inquired about the free class.
Earlier, Mayor Tomas Osmeña announced the free lessons on Japanese in his Facebook account.
On Tuesday, Osmeña said that Korean, Mandarin, and Spanish language classes will also be offered soon.
“Although the February 22 class is full na, we have many people volunteering to teach additional classes in a separate session,” the politiko wrote.
According to Chua, extensive Japanese classes will be scheduled on weekends by March until July.
