First time: Iloilo City to hold Pride March on Nov 28

For the first time in its history, Iloilo City will hold a Pride March to promote awareness for the LGBTQ (Lesbians, Gay, Biselxuals, Trans and Queer) community.

The march will be held on Nov. 28, and is part of efforts by Amnesty International’s chapter in Western Visayas, The Daily Guardian reported.

Organizers include UP Lipad, Iloilo Pride Team and Bahaghari.

During the event, representatives from Region 6 will receive the LGBTQ flag from AI Philippines Baguio and send it off AI Philippines Cebu.

Monday’s march will have the theme, “BE YOURSELF CHANGE THE WORLD #BE PROUD.”
