Ex-Iloilo gov may ‘intervene’ in upcoming polls
Former Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. said he “may possibly intervene” in the May 2022 elections.
Defensor, however, clarified that he’s not seeking any elective post next year.
In a radio interview, the ex-governor described himself only as a “keen observer.” (https://bit.ly/3zfsFqy)
He may “possibly intervene” for his politician sons who might need his guidance, according to him.
Arthur Jr. and Lorenz, who are currently serving as governor and 3rd district representative, respectively, are gunning for reelection in 2022.
Defensor said that he may also help national candidates who would need his support in securing votes in the province.
