Ex-Cebu governor Lito Osmeña dies at 82
Former Cebu Governor Emilio “Lito” Osmeña, Jr. passed away Monday night. He was 82 years old.
“So long Dad! You will always be part of us. Thank you is not enough!” his son Mariano said in a post on Facebook.
The grandson of President Sergio Osmeña, Sr. was governor of Cebu from 1988 to 1992. (https://bit.ly/3wRTbnI)
Some of his notable projects included the Cebu Transcentral Highway and the Cebu Business Park in Cebu City.
Osmeña served as chief economic adviser from 1993 to 1997 under the Ramos administration where he chaired the Presidential Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects.
