Edgar Chatto says BISU medical school ready to go
Bohol is about to teach and produce its own doctors thanks to this politiko’s push.
Congressman Edgar Chatto proudly announced that the Bohol Island State University (BISU) College of Medicine is ready to roll, and only needs faculty members and enrollees to get started. That won’t be a problem too, as about 500 residents have said they are interested to enroll and be part of the maiden batch.
“The planned Medical School is in support to the Provincial Government’s aim of strengthening the province’s health care system under the leadership of Gov. Art Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos by locally producing homegrown physicians,” he said in a post.
Local hospitals will be upgraded too. To entice more enrollees, aspiring doctors may apply for scholarships under the newly-passed Doktor Para sa Bayan Law.
