Duterte threatens to slap Osmeña anew
President Rodrigo Duterte once again criticized Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña for withdrawing support for the police and e and for taking custody of three men arrested for allegedly selling butane canisters without a permit.
Duterte reiterated his threat to slap slap Osmeña in the face if they see each other.
“If we can’t come to an agreement, I will slap you. This is not the Duterte from Danao but from Mindanao,” Duterte said in a meeting before members of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino in Cebu Tuesday last week.
In August 31, the chief executive first took a swipe at Osmeña for supposedly accusing him of being a drug protector. He threatened to slap him, also saying the Cebuano mayor was “spreading false stories.”
Osmeña again drew Duterte’s ire when the former demanded the release of three butane vendors in Cebu City.
