Duterte signs law upgrading Bacolod hospital
President Rodrigo Duterte has signed a law that increases the bed capacity of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City.
Republic Act No. 11441 provides for the increase in bed capacity of CLMMRH from 400 to 1,000.
Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya expressed his gratitude to Duterte for signing the measure he authored. (http://www.visayandailystar.com/2019/September/10/topstory1.htm)
The congressman also thanked Health Secretary Francisco Duque, former senator JV Ejercito, and Dr. Julius Drilon for their cooperation and support.
The passage of the law means additional funds for the indigent patients who have medical needs, as well as additional nurses, doctors, medicines, and better facilities for the hospital through the Department of Health, said Gasataya.
He also said he will also push for the establishment of the Bacolod City District Hospital in the 18th Congress.
