‘Dream come true:’ Leonardia thanks Zubiri for P163M Bacolod museum fund
This senator made these big dreams into reality.
Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia showered Senator Migz Zubiri with loads of gratitude after granting a whopping P163 million budget for the construction of Bacolod’s own museum and auditorium.
Leonardia said they were only lobbying for a P30-million fund, but Zubiri approved more than fivefold.
“This is a dream come true. This is beyond what we expected,” Leonardia said in awe.
“For many, many years, we’ve tried several strategies to realize our dream of a Bacolod museum, and only now because of Sen. Zubiri that it is coming to fruition.”
Zubiri grew up in Bacolod, which explains his affinity to the city.
The planned development will span about 5,000 square meters to be built in two years.
