Don’t panic over coronavirus, take caution – Ferrer

Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer asked the public not to panic amid the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Ferrer, however, reminded everyone to take precautionary measures.

“There is no case here yet, there is no need to panic but we have to be cautious as well,” the vice governor said. (

According to him, there should be continuous awareness campaigns by local government units in the province.

Provincial Board member Rita Gatuslao, chair of the Committee on Health, filed on Tuesday a resolution enjoining local government units to conduct information to educate the public about coronavirus.
