DENR gives Sibulan go signal to cut down 3 century-old acacia trees
The Sibulan municipal government has been given the go signal by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to cut down three century-old acacia trees for being a hazard.
The DENR also approved the pruning of another acacia tree.
Sibulan Mayor Jose Abiera wanted the acacia trees to be cut down because they pose danger to people where they are located.

The tree is already leaning towards the church and at the entrance of the wharf where there are lots of pedestrians.
