Defensor wants strict compliance with isolation precautions
Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. reiterated the strict implementation of reverse isolation measures to manage the surge of Covid-19 cases in the province.
In a memorandum issued to the mayors, punong barangays, BHERTS, and local task forces, Defensor ordered the strict implementation of detection and isolation, particularly at the household level.
Reverse isolation refers to isolating at the household level vulnerable persons, such as those 60 years old and above, pregnant women; and those with immunodeficiency, comorbidities, or other health risks. (https://bit.ly/3iqKI7c)
Minimum public health standards shall be observed such as wearing of face masks, eating meals separately and using separate utensils to reduce the risk of transmission.
Reverse isolation also applies to individuals who go out on a daily basis for work or other essential transactions and those who visit hospitals or healthcare facilities for outpatient treatment.
