Defensor halts inbound flights to Iloilo
The Iloilo Airport in Cabatuan town will stop inbound commercial flights transporting locally stranded individuals (LSs) from Metro Manila, Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. announced.
But, Defensor said sweeper flights arranged by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration would still fly returning overseas Filipino workers.
In his latest move, the governor cited the directive of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases halting trips bringing LSIs to their respective provinces. (https://bit.ly/3dIX8kW)
When would these inbound flights resume?
It will depend if when the IATF would allow the travel of LSIs, he said.
Defensor appealed for understanding and cooperation of the affected LSIs.
