Crime in Negros Occidental goes down in January, February
Crime in Negros Occidental went down in the first two months of 2018.
The Negros Oriental provincial police said it found a 64.42% decrease in index crimes and a 71.39% decrease in non-index crimes in January and February of this year.
It also said only 185 incidents of index crimes were recorded compared to 551 in the same period last year.
There were 237 non-index crimes recorded in the first two months of the year compared to 826 in 2017.
Negros Occidental police provincial director Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr attributed the decrease in crime to their enhanced campaign against criminality.
