Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes said he would lift the curfew in the city while it is under Alert Level 2.

The government’s Covid-19 task force has eased the alert level of the whole Central Visayas to Alert Level 2 from February 16 to 28.

Many businesses and employees are still struggling to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic amid the implementation of the city’s 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew, according to Cortes. (https://bit.ly/3sDl036)

“Many businesses and employees in the city are having difficulty recovering from the pandemic, especially since we are still implementing a curfew,” the mayor said in the vernacular.

“Now that we will be placed under Alert Level 2, we will remove the curfew in the city of Mandaue,” he added.

Meanwhile, Cortes reminded his constituents to observe the minimum health protocols and to get their Covid-19 vaccines.

“Let us all help each other so we can recover from the hardships brought by this pandemic,” he said.
