Cortes forms COVID vaccine board
The Mandaue City government formed a coronavirus disease (Covid-19) vaccine board to ensure a fair and smooth distribution of the vaccination.
The committee is tasked to ensure an orderly appropriation of the vaccine to the 27 barangays according to priority sectors, according to Mayor Jonas Cortes.
Based on national guidelines, health care workers, senior citizens, indigent population, and uniformed personnel are the priority groups to be vaccinated. (https://bit.ly/2M0HJ7r)
The Covid-19 Vaccine Board is led by Barangay Captain Ernie Manatad, the president of the Association of Barangay Councils and heads of the City Health Office, Emergency Operations Center, City Administrator’s Office, Management Information System Office, and City Budget Office.
The Mandaue City government has set aside P200 million for the vaccination of residents who will not be included in the national government’s vaccination program.
