City won’t vaccinate minors in hospitals: Rama
There will be no distribution of Covid-19 vaccines to minors aged 12 to 17 years old inside the hospitals for now, acting Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama said.
“I am not quite comfortable bringing our children to the hospitals for vaccination when the COVID cases are still not yet zero,” according to Rama.
Unless the infections have significantly reduced, the official said the city will keep minors away from medical facilities hosting Covid-19 patients. (https://bit.ly/3vnjao1)
The city government, he added, will be looking into existing vaccination sites near hospitals so minors can be rushed to the facility if they suffer adverse effects of the vaccines.
These sites include Ayala Center Cebu, University of Cebu J. Alcantara Campus, and Southwestern University.
