The Cebu City government will again prohibit liquor and parties along the Sinulog Grand Parade route next year.
The street ban on liquor and entertainment will take effect from January 19 to January 21, according to City Councilor David Tumulak.
In The Freeman report, Tumulak, also the executive committee chief of the Sinulog Foundaton Inc. (SFI), said he will recommend to Mayor Tomas Osmeña the issuance of an executive order banning liquors and street parties within 300 meters of the parade route.
The politiko said that stricter security measures will be implemented in next year’s Sinulog celebration to ensure public order and safety.
Erring business owners will face appropriate sanctions or penalties, he added.
