City Hall did not consult family on mausoleum conversion into heritage site: Tomas

POLITIKO - The bible of Philippine Politics.
Former Cebu City mayor Tomas Osmeña said the city government did not consult the family of Don Sergio Osmeña about its plan to convert the Osmeña Mausoleum into a heritage site.
“The family of Don Sergio was not consulted on any plans for the mausoleum that Don Sergio built for his wife and family,” Osmeña told SunStar Cebu.

The mausoleum in Barangay Tejero is the final resting place of former President Sergio Osmeña Sr. and other members of the prominent Osmeña clan.
The families of those buried in the cemetery, according to Ramil Ayuman, special assistant to Mayor Mike Rana, can still enter and visit their loved ones.
The main concern of the City is to remove and ensure that there are no illegal structures in the area, he added.
Rama issued a notice on March 21 ordering the owners of the illegal structures in the area to vacate the area.
Owners of illegal structures and houses have until April 4 to remove them.
