Cebu mayors give P.5 million aid to Cagayan Valley
After the onslaught of typhoon “Ulysses,” the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Cebu Chapter has donated P500,000 financial assistance to Cagayan Valley.
LMP Cebu Chapter president and Liloan Mayor Christina Frasco made the announcement following a consensus among the 44 municipal mayors in Cebu province.
“We are sending the P500,000 in financial assistance as a sign of solidarity with our fellow mayors and our brothers and sisters in Cagayan,” said Frasco. (https://bit.ly/2UxjFdx)
“During this time of immeasurable suffering, may the Cebuanos’ compassion and empathy for our fellow Filipinos be a beacon of hope that together, we shall rise again,” she added.
The mayor said that LMP Cagayan Chapter president and Santo Niño Mayor Vicente Pagurayan expressed his profound gratitude to the Cebu mayors.
