Cebu imposes 24-hour curfew for students, elderly
Starting 3 p.m. today, all students and those above 64 years old in Cebu will not be allowed to leave their respective homes, as a preventive measure against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said that senior citizens aged 65 and above should only be allowed out of their homes for medical treatments.
“They will also be on a 24-hour curfew, except those who need to go to a medical facility,” Garcia said. (https://bit.ly/2Uvotzq)
Everyone in Cebu is required to wear identification cards (IDs) to determine whether or not they are members of the two sectors ordered to stay home.
Garcia also ordered the temporary closure of internet cafes and the prohibition of any cockfighting in the province.
